Move-in Checklist

Welcome to the RPM Desert Cities family. We're excited to welcome you to your new rental home. Please read through the information below to start your tenancy off on the right foot.

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay your first month's rent check and your security deposit at the lease signing. If you owe any other fees, you'll also need to pay these at this time.

Move-in Date & Inspection

Your move-in date and any necessary inspection information will be provided at your lease signing.


The utility accounts for your new rental home need to be placed in your name. Please contact the providers as quickly as possible after moving into the home, in order to avoid any temporary access issues or additional fees.

Move-out Checklist

We hope you had a great stay with us and we wish you the best of luck. Leave your rental home without any problems by reading through the information below thoroughly.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Before you leave your home, you'll need to provide us with written notice of your intent to vacate the premises.

Property Condition

Your home needs to be restored to its original condition before you leave. This involves the following:

  • Rental Cleaning: Your rental home should be properly cleaned before you return the keys to our team. You'll need to remove all of your belongings from the unit, sanitize the bathroom and kitchen, and professionally clean all carpets.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If your rental property has outdoor space, take care of any routine landscaping chores before you leave the property.
  • Repairs: If any cosmetic damage occurred during your stay, you'll need to make the necessary repairs before you leave the home.

Security Deposit

We make every effort to return your security deposit to you as quickly as possible after you vacate the home.

We will conduct a final inspection to check for any damage; if damage is identified, we will schedule the necessary repairs and deduct the expenses from your deposit. The remainder will be returned to you.
